Buckwheat with ground beef and mushroom sauce
Ingredients
- 3-4 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cup buckwheat washed
- 1 medium onion diced
- 0.5-1 lb ground beef
- 0.5 lb mushroom chopped
- 100-150 g mushroom chopped
- 1 tsp oregano
- 3-4 cloves garlic minced
- Cilantro or parsley
Ingredients:
- Olive oil 3-4 tablespoons
- 2 cups of buckwheat washed
- One medium onion diced
- around 0,5- 1 lb ground beef or (chicken or turkey )
- 0,5 pounds of any kind of mushroom chopped into medium pieces ( if you don’t like it mushroom, you can skip it)
- Tomatoes sauce 100-150 gr
- Oregano 1 teaspoon, salt and pepper
- 3-4 cloves of garlic minced
- Cilantro or parsley.
Preparation:
In a big pan, heat the olive oil and add ground beef. Add salt, pepper, and oregano until the meat comes out light brown.
Add diced onion and fry together with the meat until golden brown.

Then add minced garlic.
Stir well and add tomato sauce. Smear for a couple of minutes. Add mushrooms and cook until mushrooms become soft and tender.

Cover with a lid and cook for another 10-15 minutes.
Add 2-3 cups of water, bring to a boil, and add buckwheat.

Water must cover about 1-2 inches of the buckwheat and bring it up to the boiling.

Cover with a lid and cook for 18-20 minutes.
Serve with freshly chopped herbs.
